How long is the season?
Our season is approximately 12 weeks, from tryouts to the last games. Our varsity team has the opportunity to spend an additional week at the national tournament.
When do you practice?
Practices for all teams are Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 – 5:15pm.
Where do you practice?
Centrally located in Houston off I-10 and Beltway 8, we practice at the Houston Skyline Juniors facility located at 10510 Westview, Houston, TX 77043.
When are games?
Games can be any given Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday during the course of the season. Middle school has 2 weekend tournaments and H.S. up to 3 weekend tournaments.
Do you have to tryout?
Yes, everyone regardless of skill level will tryout the last week of July so coaches can evaluate athletes and place teams.
Does everyone make a team?
Yes! Team placement is skill dependent but we find a team for athletes of every skill level, from beginners to D1 recruited athletes, so that all can be challenged and thrive.
What is the cost?
Cost varies depending on team placement: $50 tryout fee which goes towards season dues should your athlete commit to season. $500 Middle school teams, $550 JV White & JV Blue teams, $600 Varsity. Varsity athletes will have additional costs as part of the National tournament at season’s end.
Do you play only homeschool teams?
No; 95% of our game schedule is competing against top ranked private schools in the greater Houston area and the other 5% is with homeschool organizations in and around the city of Houston.
Are your coaches volunteers?
This aspect makes our homeschool program unique. None of our coaches are volunteers. We are passionate and prayerful about hiring excellent coaching staff who have both God-honoring character and years of playing and coaching experience.
